Action Center in windows 7 alerts us when there is any computer problem occurs, like System Restart needed, virus protection database is outdated, not be able to recognise the 3rd party anti virus or spyware, or we need to backup our files due to security reasons. Now if we want to Prevent Windows 7's Action Center from alerting us when it detects what it thinks is a problem. Follow the simple instructions described in this tutorial to disable Security or Maintenance Message from the Action Center

  1. Click the Start button, type "action center"
  2. As the "Action Center" Link Appears in Search Click it
  3. Now the Action Center window appears. In the left pane click "Change Action Center settings".
  4. On the  screen you will see the following sub categories of Security messages and maintenance messages .

    Security messages

    • Windows Update
    • Internet security settings
    • Network firewall
    • Spyware and related protection
    • User Account Control
    • Virus protection
    Maintenance messages
    • Windows Backup
    • Windows Troubleshooting
    • Check for updates
  5. Simply uncheck those boxes next to messages you do not wish to see
  6. Click "OK" to save your settings,
  7. Now close the "Action Center" window and Restart Windows for once to properly apply these settings
