One of the new features of Windows 7 are Jumplists. Basically, they contains recently opened or used items such as: web pages, programs and applications etc. Such items can be pinned so that the users will also have a complete list of all the stuff he has recently opened. On certain Windows 7 operating systems however, such Jumplists are completely empty, without all the recent opened items. Let’s see how to solve and fix this issue.
  1. Click and open Windows Explorer
  2. Now, copy and paste this address to Windows Explorer address bar:
  3. %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
  4. A list of files will appear on the window. Locate the files which are unusually larger.
  5. Delete them.
  6. This simple procedure will restore your Jumplists.
