So, why on earth should you turn on and restore the Command Prompt tool (DOS) on your computer when it is already ON by default? Despite this article might seem a little useless I can assure you that actually it is quite necessary, above all after a virus has disabled the Command Prompt to prevent you from typing special commands in order to fix the operating system!

1. Click Start.
2. In the Search field, type the following command:
REG add HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System /v DisableCMD /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
3. Hit Enter.
4. The Command Prompt shoudl now work correctly!
