Change Windows Live Messenger 2011 (WLM11) Default download Folder

When we start downloading in windows live messenger 2011 (WLM11) its default downloading location is: C:\ Users\ UserName\Documents\ My Received Files. I would like to share one thing that My Received Files folder is not a very good folder used by default for keeping our downloading things. That's why i always change the default download destination folder to another folder which i can easily access, or to a dedicated drive i used for downloading software, also sometime i keep my downloading items on desktop for deleting them instantly if i found them not useful. Let’s see now how to Change the Default download destination Folder!

1. Start Windows 7 and Open your Windows Live Messenger 2011 (WLM11).
2. Now in the Windows Live Messenger 2011, Navigate to  Tools menu --> click Options .
3. In the Options window, click History on the left pane.
4. Under the File Transfer section, in the right pane, click the Change button.
5. Here now Select the new download destination folder from the list.
6. Click OK.
7. Restart the messenger and We are successfully completed
