How to Delete & reset thumbnail image cache on Windows 7

When you open your windows 7 images folder or video folder images are small preview images displayed for actual images and applications on Windows 7 PC. Sometimes it happen that after modfying actual image windows 7 still display the old image in thumbnail preview. This happens at that time when thumbnail image does not refresh in the Windows Thumbnail Cache database. You can easily overcome this problem.With the help of following simple steps  you can easily delete and reset thumbnail images cache database to display the latest contents in your folder in Thumbnail image preview on windows 7. What you need is to follow the following simple steps.

Steps to Clear & reset thumbnail image cache

1. Click on start (Orb) button. Then type Disk Cleanup and hit the enter key
2. Now a window will open which will ask you to select drive partition for disk cleanup. By default only the C drive is select, If you want any other partition check that partition also and click OK to Continue. This will take some time to process
3. Now on the disk cleanup settings box, scroll down to look for ‘thumbnails’ under ‘files to delete’. Click to check ‘thumbnails’ option and then click OK button.

This will delete the Thumbnail image Cache, on the same time it will also delete the Temporary internet files, Cache, Windows 7 Error reports and per user queued window 7 error reports if all the option are select, you can select any of the option along with windows Thumbnail Cache if you want to.

You will get prompt to select drive partition for disk cleanup. By default C drive is selected, click OK to continue. Then you will see processing dialog box for sometime.
