Sometimes, your Windows 7, all of a sudden, may return you with the following Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error message “0xA or IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Stop Error”. Such an error is triggered by incompatible hardware or software which have been installed on your machine. Here is what you have got to do to fix it.
- Uninstall the software you know is not compatible with Windows 7. If you do not know how to procede, simply restore the computer to the last known good configuration. To do it, restart your computer and when the boot up starts, hit repetedly F10 till you see the Advanced Boot Options screen. Once there, select Last Known Good Configuration (advanced) and hit Enter.
- Install the latest hotfix and/or the latest Service Pack.
- Try to update all your computer drivers.
- If this error appears after you resume from hibernation, check thse Microsoft articles: 941492 and 945577.
- If the error appears while trying to start a laptop or NetPC when the lid down, check this Microsoft Article: 941507.
