Internet Explorer 9 has got among its features the Hardware Acceleration option which is turned on by default. Such feature improves the speed and performance of your IE9 in case you have to play heavy videos or online games. To work, it uses your computer’s graphics processor (GPU). Useless to say, such a feature uses a lot of your computer resources which could be devoted to other tasks. This trick will teach you to turn off Hardware Acceleration.
- Click the Gear icon located on the left upper side of your Internet Explorer 9.
- Click Internet Options.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- From the Setting list, tick “Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering”.
