So, why on earth should you
turn on and restore the Command Prompt tool (DOS) on your computer when it is already ON by default? Despite this article might seem a little useless I can assure you that actually it is quite necessary, above all after a virus has disabled the Command Prompt to prevent you from typing special commands in order to fix the operating system!
- Click Start.
- In the Search field, type the following command:
REG add HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System /v DisableCMD /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
- Hit Enter.
- The Command Prompt shoudl now work correctly!
